SHI product passport for sustainable building
A healthy home starts with the floor. That is why we have Mambo.Flooring independently tested. The Sentinel Holding Institut (SHI) has assessed the Mambo.Flooring collection for relevant harmful substance requirements and rated it QNG-ready. The assessment is carried out by the independent testing body EVIDANA GmbH.
What does QNG-ready mean?
The Qualitätssiegel Nachhaltiges Gebäude (QNG) is the German government's quality seal for sustainable buildings. Products labelled QNG-ready meet the assessed requirements of QNG Annex 3.1.3 on avoiding harmful substances in building materials. This makes them suitable for building projects aiming for QNG certification, which can enable a higher funding loan under the German KfW programme "Klimafreundlicher Neubau" (Climate-Friendly New Build).
More than QNG
Besides QNG, the SHI product passport for Mambo.Flooring documents the ratings and supporting evidence for DGNB, BNB, EU Taxonomy, BREEAM and LEED. This helps planners and builders select products and provide evidence for sustainable building certifications. For indoor air quality under BREEAM, Mambo.Flooring is rated "outstanding quality".
